Living in the wake of the 1994 Rwandan genocide are countless children whose lives have been forever ripped apart. Because of their proximity to the border of Burundi, many of these fragile survivors have turned to their neighboring country for a new life. Since The Rainbow Centre opened in 2002, it has been called "home" by hundreds of youngsters aged newborn - 2 yrs. These children are provided with warm beds, clothing, nourishment for their bodies and spirits, and the love of committed staff persons trained to care for them. TWIZERE, which means, "Let's have faith and hope!" is a community project which strives to partner care-givers with orphaned or abandoned children outside the gates of The Rainbow Centre. The project follows up with these care-givers by visiting the babies throughout the week, making sure that they are receiving the sponsored milk and porridge so needed for healthy growth and development. TRC's website provides a wealth of information along with moving photos of life at the center. Please take a few moments to learn more by visiting: http://www.rainbowcentre.net

We were thrilled to give the Rainbow Centre $3500 to pay for their staff Christmas baskets which include many essential items for daily life including food and fabric. Thank you donors!
